Equipment warranties protect owners from absorbing the cost of early component failures that should be the manufacturer’s responsibility. When enforced with proper evidence, they reduce unplanned CAPEX tied to replacements, stabilize OPEX by avoiding reactive repairs, and help maintain consistent production levels across the site. In practice, their value depends less on the warranty language itself and more on the operator’s ability to document when and how a defect emerged.
